Qimonda North America Corporation is looking for a highly motivated professional to fill the role of Information Systems Engineer (Data Warehouse). This critical position supports Qimonda's state of the art manufacturing (DRAM computer chips) facility in Richmond (Sandston 23150), Virginia. This position will focus on supporting the operational needs of multiple Oracle databases used to manage the existing Manufacturing Business Intelligence (MBI) reporting requirements. Education Requirements or Equivalency:

B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or other technical field



Experience/Skill Requirements:

Wafer manufacturing business knowledge
Systems implementation
Manufacturing experience in a 24 x 7 environment


Software development experience in a UNIX environment with 5 or more years programming in an IT or engineering industry.
Software/ Tool Knowledge:
Unix, PL/SQL,Windows OS, MS Office, JAVA, JSP, Oracle Application Express, ETL tools, SQL Navigator, Code control systems
Demonstrated understanding of structured software development methodologies.
Demonstrated understanding of database concepts and technologies.
Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks
Strong programming/scripting background
Strong analytical and documentation skills
Good project management
Excellent internal/external communication Skills


Additional Experience (Preferred requirements):

Systems experience: Experience as a Oracle Database Administrator and strong PL/SQL skills
Software/Tool Knowledge: UML, MS Technologies
Experience working within and conceptual understanding of, a Data Warehouse environment
Willingness to Travel
Teamwork/Intercultural experience
Maintenance of Production critical IT systems
IT engineering Background
Project Management experience.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

A Data Warehouse software developer working within the Manufacturing Business Intelligence (MBI) department. This position will focus on supporting the operational needs of multiple Oracle databases used to manage the existing MBI reporting requirements. These databases are critical to Richmond’s reporting requirements.

Typical activities will include:

Software development within an Oracle/UNIX environment
Web-based report development using Oracle Application Express; JSP/Java servlets
Support, maintenance and tuning of the existing systems
Support of data transfer issues to and from external sister sites
Technical and diagnostic support for the next generation system(s)
Regular communications with colleagues located in Germany and Portugal
Regular in-house customer communications
This position is considered production critical. A pager will be required and an on-call schedule will be rotated.
Additionally, this position interacts closely with the existing MDA (Manufacturing Data Analysis) and IE (Industrial Engineering) development teams.


The successful candidate may also be required to perform full application development including requirement specification, implementation and maintenance in a dual 200mm/300mm semiconductor wafer manufacturing environment within a framework of agreed budgets and developmental guidelines, with the objective of ensuring users’ requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.df-tc
