Genesis10 Consulting, has partnered with the nations leading healthcare provider and is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Analyst for a 1 year contract in Vallejo, CA.

Overall purpose of the project: KPIT is engaged in upgrading and converting all network and desktops across the enterprise to a new consistent standard through the Express Desktop project that will allow for higher availability and greater ease of support than the current multiple scenarios now in place.

Duties: Will report to the Implementation Project Manager (IPM) for the Medical Center area to which they are assigned.

Infrastructure Data Base input and updating: The Analyst works with local KPIT Operations to assure that changes to the infrastructure are updated on a regular basis in the Data Base and to maintain it as the team’s single source of information for developing scopes of work, scheduling and planning.

Lead infrastructure surveys as required: Can be called upon to lead a major survey for a facility, or lead some of the smaller “ad-hoc” survey’s that come about due to requirements changes from the project, or major changes in a facility’s infrastructure. When conducting the surveys they will lead a team of NFS, NOPS and facility resources to gather the required data and assure that it is properly input into the Data Base. Will be responsible for running QA reports at the end of each survey day to assure data integrity and consistency.

Support infrastructure reporting needs for the area. Will support the IPM by running regular and “ad-hoc” reports from the data base to help with the planning and scheduling of work. Will also work with the IPM, NOPS and the facility to assure that large changes in data are properly collected into an Excel spreadsheet and uploaded to the Infrastructure Data Base.

This position will support the IPM with the tracking of orders and the installation of equipment as necessary.

Top 3-4 required skills:
• Strong MS Office Skills with special emphasis on Excel spreadsheet manipulation with high accuracy rates
• Minimum of two years’ experience in surveying, analyzing, updating and supporting PC network deployments using Windows based products

• Must be a detail oriented person who can take direction, self direct or direct others when needed
• Great communication skills, able to work well in a team environment
• Excellent issue tracking and follow-up skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks towards unmovable deadlines

Experience/Skills
Skills required:
Minimum 1 year Excel and Word experience

Requirements:

• As candidate will be interacting on a regular basis with clinicians and other Kaiser staff in the medical centers, strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. The resources will be housed in the Medical Service Area.
• Travel to all locations within the MSA and Regional offices will be required. Must be willing to travel between Kaiser facilities in the Vallejo/Napa/Fairfield/Vacaville areas to perform surveys or equipment checks.
• May require someone being on their feet for 3 - 6 hours on some days.
• Must be flexible to daily changes in scope, requirements and schedule. Must have a sense of humor and positive attitude to deal with difficult situations.
