CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people to help us grow! We are looking for a Infrastructure Architect.

The role entails the management and installation of server infrastructure (Hardware and Operating Systems) and related components (network switches, ups and storage devices, etc.) in the Ford Reliability, Availability, and Scalability (RAS) and Quality Assurance and Certification (QAC) Lab. This role also includes the installation of middleware, database management systems, and high-availability solutions within the lab environment as well as the coordination of reliability, availability, and scalability testing with global Ford customers. Other responsibilities include performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting/support activities.

Skilled in a variety of hardware, operating systems, middleware, database management systems, and high-availability solutions. Able to communicate with customers on reliability, availability, and scalability issues.
Skills Preferred:

UNIX administration for Linux, IBM, and/or HP Windows (Windows2x) Administration: Experience installing application software for Windows client and server operating systems VMware Administration Cisco network administration experience: knowledge of TCP/IP network technologies, troubleshooting, and network design; knowledge of switched LAN technologies and router administration and configuration Database Administration; working knowledge of relational database management systems such as Oracle, and MS SQL Server Storage (SAN & NAS) Administration Server Hardware Configuration and Management: Experience performing hardware upgrades for Intel and/or RISC computing systems Remote access (VPN) set up, configuration, and administration experience

Skilled in a variety of hardware, operating systems, middleware, database management systems, and high-availability solutions. Able to communicate with customers on reliability, availability, and scalability issues. Perform well under stressful, time-sensitive conditions; comfortable working independently or on a team; can juggle several projects simultaneously; adapt readily to rapidly evolving technologies and changing lab environment variables Experience working with specialists and 3rd party vendors across various hardware, operating systems, applications and/or technologies. Experience and capability to build and maintain good customer relationships. Experience and capability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams. Experience interpreting business requirements, recognizing impact on Lab processes, policies, and making recommendations, accordingly Ability to contribute to the development of shared technical content concerning the lab environment
Education Required:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
