Mastech Inc is a growing company dedicated to innovation and teamwork. We are currently seeking a Infrastructure Cabling Engineer for our client in the Healthcare domain. Duration: 12 months

Compensation: $38/ Hourly

Role: Infrastructure Cabling Engineer

Role Description: The Infrastructure Cabling Engineer would need to have at least 10 years of experience. This Candidate would have at least 3 years of experience in fiber and copper cable design.

Required Skills:

- Must have familiarity with different categories of copper cabling and protocols and applications supported by each.
- Must be able to distinguish between the different types of fiber optic cabling and know the most common ways to tell the difference.
- Must have basic knowledge of wireless LAN and VoIP Voice over Internet Protocol technologies.
- Must have experience in both inside and outside plant cabling.
- Must have the ability to work in both Visio and Autocad to create layouts of equipment rooms, back boards and racks.
- Must be able to read blue prints and be familiar with common architectural and electrical symbols.
- Must have experience in calculating both electrical and mechanical loads for IT rooms, and is familiar with the terms associated with both.
- A Registered Communications Distribution Designer would be preferred.
- Must be a self starter who can perform the job on a daily basis without direction from others.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
