Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Implementation and support for the Service Line Application Services (SLAS) labs, hosting development and test environments.
  • Responsible for compliance with the firm's security policies.
  • Responsible for the transition and turnover of applications, environments or individual updates to production.
  • Assist in the setup of the appropriate production monitoring activities. Including: early warning notification, escalation procedures, and Tier 1 & 2 support documentation.
  • Tier 3 production support of the hardware, storage and operating platform.!



  • Experience/Skills
    Technical Skills:
    • Extensive Microsoft Operating System and domains/active directory knowledge and experience (Ex: Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows XP, etc.)
    • Backup systems knowledge and experience with stand-alone servers and enterprise level systems, including software and hardware concepts.
    • Extensive Intel platform server hardware knowledge and experience.
    • Applied or working network knowledge and experience with switching, routing, VLan, firewall, proxy, VPN technologies.
    • Applied or working knowledge on Sans, clustering, mirroring, fault tolerance technologies.
    • Microsoft Certified Professional knowledge on Internet Information Server, SQL Server, Transaction Server, Systems Management Server, Terminal Server, and Application Center Server are preferable.
    • Applied or working systems security knowledge. Microsoft, SANS, and/or ISC2 certifications are preferable.
    • Bachelor's degree is required.
    • Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend/negotiate solutions
