Project Management      Responsibilities/Deliverables   The Infrastructure Management team is responsible for the management and ownership of all of the infrastructure used by Enterprise Application Services. This division underpins the Bank's major infrastructure services including dWeb, DAP, MESH,  dBusJMS and others. The team is responsible for procurement, build, delivery, capacity management, and standardization of the hardware estate (900+ servers), and the delivery of a stable environment for our platforms. Responsibilities are likely to include work on application migrations for technology roadmap compliance, new hardware build-outs, and capacity planning. Depending on the skills, this may include specification of systems for capacity planning, and working with the platform engineers to have these created. There will also be several short projects, which will depend on the business need at the time. For example, we are currently working on migration of key applications out of Hill House as part of the LNDC project, the build-out of new infrastructure in New York to support additional requirements for DAP, build out of new Internet-facing dWeb Infrastructure in London, and the development of capacity reporting across dWeb, DAP and MESH. We will likely include co-ordination of DR tests, Power downs, etc.   Listed below is a high level list of functional responsibilities. Infrastructure Support Server Hardware, OS or Infrastructure Related         Incident management         Problem determination and root cause analysis         Problem management/resolution o       RFC submission o       Hardware failures o       Network issues o       ES/Server Database support liaison o       Configuration changes o       Server reboot o       Server crash o       Maintenance o       Knowledge management      Infrastructure Projects         Technology refreshes o       Coordination o       Build out o       Testing         Data Center moves/migrations align with datacenter strategy o       Coordination o       Build out o       Testing         Growth o       Coordination o       Build out o       Testing         Power Downs         DR/BCP testing         Network Maintenance   Server On-boarding         RFS submissions         INCR submissions         Coordination & scheduling         Application installation         Monitoring setup & configuration         Productionization coordination   Application On-boarding         Application on-boarding o       Allocate application instances o       Add capacity for any application   Capacity Management & Planning         Data collection, collation and aggregation         Reporting   Additional/Responsibilities   Additional projects may include.             Work with our engineering team to design an infrastructure to host a new product, or extension to an existing product (eg dWeb on Solaris, Jboss on DAP), and to bring that through from start to finish, gathering requirements, suggesting suitable service design, and request for service, through to productionisation.   Essential skills & proficiency requirements   Sound organizational skills, and experience managing small to medium projects are essential. Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage virtual teams by influence  are required to deliver on projects with our partners in Enterprise Services and Networks. The ability to stay on top of your workload, and manage your time and commitments are critical. Some basic Unix experience is a must, light System Administrator experience.  Knowledge of SQL, the ability to extract data, collect, collate and analyze.  Excellent knowledge of excel and the ability to develop reports & metrics. The role is not primarily client-facing, but some interaction with clients will be required, so we will develop skills around business understanding.df-tc
