Description
NEWPORT CHEMICAL AGENT DISPOSAL FACILITY

Instrument and Electrical Designer
SECTION II: GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide detail designs for instrument and electrical systems at the Newport Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (NECDF) using Computer Aided Design (CAD). Support instrument and electrical engineers in preparation of facility modification design packages and new system designs.

SECTION III: ASSIGNED DUTIES
1. Produce instrument and electrical CAD drawings for changes to the facility or for new facilities/systems, including onelines, elementaries, and ladder diagrams.
2. Provide cable and conduit routing designs in accordance with project specifications and under the direction of engineer.
3. Provide instrument wiring designs in accordance with project specifications and under the direction of engineer.
4. Specify conduit mounting details in accordance with project specifications and under the direction of engineer.
5. Prepare As-Built drawings from red-lines.
6. Maintain familiarity with NEC.
7. Perform conduit/cable fill calculations.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

SECTION IV: MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Two (2) year Associates degree in Electrical or Instrument Design, or similar.
Experience: 5 years of instrument and electrical design experience, (5 additional years may replace education requirement.)
Microstation or AutoCAD experience required, experience with both preferred.
Employment requires a favorable National Agency Check (background check).
U. S. Citizenship Required.
Prior Demilitarization experience preferred.df-tc
