Install Technician

US citizen or permanent resident only. No third party submittals Position Description: The Installation Technician-II will coordinate installations with the Installation Technician-III & IV, Project Manager (PM) and/or SI Manager. The Installation Technician-II will perform, as needed, field equipment installation of SI equipment, including wire pulling, structural mounting of projectors, screens, monitors, microphones and speakers, equipment placement of equipment racks and control panels, and cable termination and connection.

• The Installation Technician-II will work the other installation techs to learn the proper execution of all required install techniques.
• he Installation Technician-II must maintain at least 90% of total work time billable to projects.
• Daily time entries into computer timekeeping system as required.
• Assists in maintaining installation equipment & tools, including maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles and installation supplies inventory.
• Responsible for maintaining required electrical licenses, and maintaining current, up-to-date information regarding developments in the Audio/Visual industry.
• Responsible for attending required classes for apprenticeship program

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years or more of verifiable commercial AV installation experience at a commercial AV company.
• Candidates shall have completed the following trainings and/or certifications:
  • CTS-I online class from the ICIA
  • CTS Certification by ICIA
  • Getting started with AMX online class
  • Extron AV Associate, Medialink and Global configurator online classes
  • AMX Install Class and/or Crestron Configuration Class
  • Hilti Gun Certified
  • Intro to networking for AV professionals online class by AMX
  • Apprentice level license required in states that require LV Tech licensing
  • Journeyman Limited Energy (JLE) license required
