Job Description:

Design courses using adult learning principles and interactive E-learning models as appropriate

Design and integrate interactive concepts and activities in both classroom and distance formats to encourage application and skill development

Ensure the instructional integrity of course development projects through systematic design and clear writing of scripts, narratives, and storyboards and/or selection of third party content/resources

Revise and update current training materials according to system and design changes. Work with Professional Trainers to update course descriptions, curricula, and assignments in the Learning Management System (LMS).

Establish instructional design and development standards for all existing and future training programs

Apply learning management system technology in the ongoing design and delivery of all existing and future training programs

Support the ongoing assessment of instructional effectiveness for all existing and future training programs

Communicate frequently and effectively with various project collaborators to ensure that goals and objectives are being met

Utilize desktop publishing and the LMS Content Module to create and print a variety of materials. Plan and devise the layout of text, photos, illustrations and other media for presentation.

Deliver content to the Professional Trainer in a train the trainer' session

Skills and experience required:

Requires a Bachelor's degree

Knowledge in the design and development of instructional materials

Ability to organize and manage time effectively, and coordinate several projects simultaneously

Proven proficiency in utilizing instructional design methodologies and adult learning theories

Excellent editing skills

Responsible for researching the latest instructional technologies

Ability to deliver on all stages of a project from start-up to finish within established timeframes

Must be a team player and demonstrate positive interpersonal skills

Consistently demonstrates a high level of customer satisfaction for internal and external stakeholders

? Ability to effectively communicate in a public forum

Requires proficiency in Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Vista, Microsoft Office suite software programs, Internet usage, and learning program design systems and software: Adobe Captivate, Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite

Skills and Experience preferred:

Working knowledge of learning management and learning content management systems preferred

Demonstrated ability to develop detailed storyboards and scripts, and building on-line courseware (e-learning)

? Prefer knowledge of JAVA Scripting, XHTML

Education or Certifications preferred:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, or a related field
