Description
Position SummaryThis person's efforts will primarily focus on the development of both instructor led and computer based training materials. While much of the general design and concept activities have been completed, the individual will be required to work with various subject matter experts to understand the content and determine specifically how to best present the concepts. As stated the training program that is being developed is blended with portions being delivered in a standard classroom setting (e.g., instructor led) and portions being delivered via computer based training (note: Adobe Captivate 3 is the target development tool for electronic content). ResponsibilitiesWork with SME's to understand content and layout courses/lessons Develop/author instructor led courseware (including instructor guides, case studies, and skill assessments) Design (e.g., storyboards, scripts, etc.) eLearning content - demonstrations & simulations Develop/author eLearning content QualificationsKnowledge of curriculum development best practices, such as needs assessment, analysis, behavioral objectives and evaluation competencies Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize a range of responsibilities, consistently meeting tight deadlines 3-5 years of technical curriculum development work experience with a proven track record of success Working knowledge of training procedures, practices and learning management systems Experience writing instructional materials for various forms of delivery: instructor-led, e-learning, webinar, and self-paced training Bachelors degree in a related field, or related Technical writing experience, or a related field Required Skills· Training and/or Adult Education experience· Highly effective communication skills and ability to articulate key concepts and needs across various levels of the organization· Demonstrated experience working with SME's and business partners· Expert personal computer skills, including MS Word and PowerPoint· Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and develop effective training materials to meet defined learning needs· High energy and initiative with a strong work ethic; must be able to work in a fast paced, results-driven environment· Superior organizational and time management skills and attention to detail· Experience creating web and print training deliverables for IT Software· Experience using industry standard computer-based and/or web-based training development tools (Authorware, Director, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, Captivate, etc.) to develop learning programs for the Adult Learner
