Internet Analyst III - Washington, DC
FINRA is the largest non-governmental regulator for all securities firms doing business in the United States. All told, FINRA oversees nearly 5,100 brokerage firms, about 173,000 branch offices and more than 665,000 registered securities representatives. FINRA touches virtually every aspect of the securities business - from registering and educating all industry participants, to examining securities firms, enforcing both FINRA rules and the federal securities laws, and administering the largest dispute resolution forum for investors and member firms. FINRA is dedicated to investor protection and market integrity through effective and efficient regulation and complementary compliance and technology-based services.

Major Purpose:
Supports FINRA’s external Web site and email communications efforts by developing content, responding to requests from internal clients for content changes and advising management on requested changes. The Analyst works independently, requiring little or no oversight in the completion of assignments, to ensure that FINRA’s online channel continues to function effectively as a critical vehicle for delivering information to FINRA audiences.

Essential Functions:

· Role includes creating, posting, updating and removing content in accordance with regulatory statute and organizational goals.
· Manages multiple small projects to ensure timely web site updates and external email communications in accordance with internal client requests. Helps maintain content and email calendars to facilitate task tracking. Works closely with team members to coordinate workload and divide responsibilities.
· Creates and prepares Web content from a variety of source files including Word, CMS templates, emails, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
· Advises clients on design, organization, and editorial issues; manages compromises to ensure client objectives, user experience goals and corporate web standards are met.
· Makes decisions affecting web site policy and procedure as proposed by the client and elevated to supervisor if necessary.
· Works closely with FINRA Technology to ensure on-time deliverables to internal clients.
· Identifies and escalates significant issues as appropriate.

Other Responsibilities:
· Enhance professional growth and development through participation in continuing education courses, professional organizations, seminars and workshops and reading current literature.
· Keep abreast of both industry developments and FINRA issues in order to best advise clients and management.
· Performs other duties as assigned by Director or Senior Web Manager.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field or work experience and formal training equivalent to a four-year degree. Proficiency in Web mark-up languages: XHTML/HTML 4.0, CSS. Basic understanding of Javascript.
· Experience with Stellent and/or similar content management systems.
· Solid working knowledge of Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, and other media/ document creation tools.
· Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time under stressful conditions and tight deadlines.

Working Conditions:
· Work is normally performed in an office environment.
· Occasional travel may be required.
· Extended hours may be required.
