Internet Services/Web Application Senior Manager
Scope
Manage the conversion of broadband products including High Speed Internet, integration with customer portals (portals covered separately), email, personal Web space, Web hosting, domain name service, other value added products and IP address service, and a unification strategy across all client Legacy properties and applications.
Activities here include developing and executing a plan for the migration of customers from current to target network and domain, transfer of authentication to client, customer notification and transfer of customer email, and self-service, single sign-on plan across all segments.
Specific Requirements and Tasks
Individual must have a thorough understanding of Internet application strategies and experience with Web 2.0 type applications - with an emphasis on the User Experience. The ideal candidate would be someone who has extensive experience in the human factors associated with Web design and who has focussed on optimizing the end users' experience while they utilize the Web to register for and receive services. The candidate need NOT be very knowledgeable in the undrelying Web technology or even in telecommunications, but rather must be able to present complex applications/services in a simple Web screen design and intuitive user experience. The individual will be responsible for defining the User Experience and Web Page Design Requirements from a User Interface/Interaction perspective. The resulting requirements would then be delivered to the IT department for implementation.
Individual should have experience in Web User Interface Design.
Specific Tasks are:
" The focus of all tasks will be on the Customer experience and the improvement of the Web process map to enhance it.
" Identify Golden Source Systems
" Verify technical capability & compatibility of client email systems for all customer segments (including business)
" Create detailed cutover plan for customer email, portals, and authentication where needed
" Work with existing Internet Help Desk to map all business process and systems required for customer technical support
" Identify the business rules for converting customer data to the target applications and test transition update programs.
" Develop customer communications
