RESPONSIBILITIES
The lead developer will work with a team to implement solutions to the specific needs of our various clients primarily using Interwoven Teamsite. Business needs must be translated into effective technical solutions using several core technologies (the full product suite from Interwoven, web applications from ATG, and related technologies like XML, Perl, CGI, Java, Oracle, HTML, XML).

This position's responsibilities also include:
. Working directly with multiple clients, design and architect solutions involving Interwoven's product line
. Provide expert knowledge on system design and architecture as it relates to the implementation or upgrade of Interwoven's product line
. Ensure proper integration of Interwoven products with various other systems and software
. Lead development teams building upon commercial web applications (e.g. Interwoven TeamSite and ATG Dynamo) with custom code.
. Ensure standard development and documentation of customizations to commercial products to meet the client's requirements including object oriented design (UML), security definition, workflow flowcharts, database changes, screen changes, and custom documentation.
. Lead development projects of varying size and complexity involving coding languages or environments including, but not limited to, XML, Perl, Java, HTML, UNIX/NT systems administration, and/or Oracle.
. Lead analysis of client processes through needs analysis and recommendation of new business models, processes or workflows.
. Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, efficiency improvements, and better user experiences.
. May lead training effort for end users and administrators
. Ensure proper documentation for requirements analysis, design specifications, user's guides, installation guides, custom training materials, or project work plan.
. Participate in overall project management, time estimates, and resource scheduling.
. Travel to client sites as needed.
. Provide weekly written status reports and expense reports.

SKILLS REQUIRED
. Minimum of four years experience with Interwoven TeamSite.
. Five to seven years total experience in IT.
. Deep knowledge of content infrastructure technologies and processes (syndication, aggregation, tagging, distribution, collaboration, etc.).
. Familiarity with the entire Interwoven product suite: TeamSite, OpenDeploy, DataDeploy, FrontOffice, MetaTagger, TeamXML, Turbo, and PortalReady SDK)
. Working knowledge of Java based technologies (J2EE, EJB, JSP ) and object oriented (OO) (UML, case tools, RUP) programming.
. Demonstrated experience architecting complex technical solutions (3-tier, H/W & S/W recommendations, load balancing) for multiple clients.
. Familiarity with Oracle database administration (SQL, installation, tablespaces, SQLnet).
. Demonstrated expert level knowledge and experience with Enterprise Application Integration (e.g. TIBCO, WebMethods) and ERP systems a plus.
. Experience with ATG Dynamo or other application server, personalization engines, commerce platforms, or portals .
. Excellent written communication (requirements spec, system design, user guides).
. Excellent Oral communication as evidenced by at least five years experience directly interacting with customers or clients to gather requirements and design technical solutions
. Master's degree in computer related field
. Local candidates preferred, but this job can be located in Richmond, VA, Raleigh, NC or McLean, VA (Washington, DC)
