PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position will work closely with the investment staff on the trading desk in developing new critical front office solutions from the ground up.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The position will require the incumbent to work closely with the trading desk to deliver front office solutions in a fast paced, collaborative, and challenging environment. The incumbent will investigate current and new products, automate and streamline processes, and work on building creative solutions to solve various business challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, financial engineering, financial mathematics, applied Mathematics or equivalent
  • Understanding of asset classes including equities, fixed income, exchange traded and OTC derivatives, money market and foreign exchange
  • Strong programming and design skills in VB .NET , C++
  • Strong relational database experience (ideally Sybase)
  • Experience with Object Oriented Methodology
  • Good development knowledge on UNIX (ideally Solaris 8)
  • Proven application development experience
  • Excellent problem solving & communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate solutions to systems problems
  • Experience developing front office trading solutions and a good understanding of trading, finance and mathematics is preferred
  • Financial markets experience is preferred
  • Experience with Charles River is preferred
