Description

The Developer's role is to design, execute, deliver and support components and/or solutions while adhering to strict project deadlines. In addition to technical and analytical skills, the developer must demonstrate strong communication skills and a "team player" attitude.

Responsibilities include:

?Work with business analyst and development teams to understand business requirements

?Design, execute, QA, and support components according to business

?Partner with other members of the development team to ensure smooth integration of the SOA components with other Back End technologies used and use best practices for SOA development

?Participate in unit testing and integration testing of all Application Server components.

?Work on enhancements to application components post-production.

?Understand product & pricing data concepts, processes and data models beyond the scope of current assignments and continue to progress strategy for the platforms towards the groups' vision and stated goals

?Provide documentation and cross training to other team members regarding component implementation

Skills:

Possess strong Technological, Analytical and Problem-solving Skills.

6-8 years of experience implementing medium to large scale system development projects using Application server and other EAI-related technologies.

Proven strong and recent technical knowledge in the following required technologies: Java, J2EE, Databases (Sybase and Oracle), Messaging Middleware, kshell, Perl, C/C++

Possess technical knowledge in the following technologies AJAX, html. Servlets, MQ Series, XML

Self-motivated with demonstrable communication (verbal & written) skills and knowledge of best practices related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems is essential.

Experience with financial industry applications or products (equities, fixed income, derivatives indicative data) or reference data management is a strong plus.
