Contribute to full development life cycle, including: requirements analysis, functional design, technical design, programming, testing, documentation, implementation, and on-going technical support

Plan, design, implement, and support efficient and cost effective application software solutions

Analyze specifications and perform program / database design activities

Conduct technical "hands on" implementation working closely with business, support, and testing departments

Produce structured, commented code based on the document requirements

Prepare and maintain system documentation and follow proper naming conventions

Conduct design and code reviews

Develop test plans, perform unit and integration testing of software

Participate in the change control process

Provide in-depth analysis and resolutions to Extream technical issues

Recommend best practices and alternative solutions to team members and leaders for the monitoring support, maintenance, and implementation of applications

Must be able to analyze / translate business needs into effective technical solutions

Work on components of large complex projects with minimal guidance

Gather, compile, interpret, synthesize and normalize information from business processes or technology systems

May have technical specialization for designing testing and deployment strategies for projects

Ensure development is performed to the specifications

Experience/Skills
**PREFER LOCAL CANDIDATES**
Position based in St. Louis, MO
No Sub-Contractor or 1099 need to apply

Technical:
2 years in-depth experience with J2EE architecture, including experience with one or more of the following: EJBs, Struts, Servelets, JMS, JNDI, J2EE Connectors, JDBC, Hibernate, ANT, etc.

2 - 5 years design and development of multi-tier software applications

Knowledge of J2EE testing tools (i.e. JUNIT, JTEST, Mock Objects, LoadRunner, ect.)

Experience with IBM Websphere Application Server, ClearCase, Unix and Oracle preferred

Experience building scalable, mission critical applications

Experience with Object Oriented design methodologies preferred

Experience with full project life cycle from establishing requirements through delivery and production
