Major Position Responsibilities:

Assist architectural lead in developing system diagrams.
Help develop best practices documentation for system installation and maintenance.
Create technical documentation as stated in the proposal sections District of Columbia MMIS.
Provide support for overall project architecture solution including infrastructure architecture, application architecture, and security architecture, and integration architecture
Follow standard project practices in terms of status reporting, risk management, issue tracking, and work plan management.
Deliver the required technical product(s) for each project, phase ensuring quality is planned and achieved
Assist with the Weekly Architecture status reporting to the project management team
Help manage and set customer expectations

REQUIRED (minimum):

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
2 + Implementation experience in large-scale project teams (50+ people) across geographical disperse locations
2 + years experience in the design and implementation of architectures solutions utilizing the J2EE framework using IBM WebSphere suite of products
2 + years of experience delivering projects using RUP methodology utilizing IBM’s Rational tool set
Strong organizational capabilities
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Visio
Strategic and project planning capabilities
Pragmatic, self-directed and self-disciplined
External client management / engagement experience
Problem Solver
Strong negotiation skills
Some travel required (25%)

PREFERRED:

Healthcare or Medicaid industry experience
PMI certified
