Description
My client is seeking a hands-on senior-level J2EE Senior System Architect with experience designing and developing database-driven multi-tier web applications using object-oriented methodology. The Architect will be responsible for the design, architecture documentation, development, oversight and implementation of the software through the entire lifecycle.

The candidate must have knowledge in both emerging technologies and legacy systems integration. This is necessary to develop the vision for the application environment, select the tools and technologies to be used in developing applications, establish the methods and standards for the development team, as well as lead and participate in the development efforts. The Architect will ensure that the underlying technology meets both short-term and long-term business needs for our clients and ensures that the system design can adapt to emerging business and technology demands.

Qualifications
*B.S. in Computer Science or any related 4-year college degree.
*Masters degree is preferred, but not required.
* Recent experience as an Architect with 8-10 years IT industry experience.
* Demonstrated ability to architect and develop large-scale applications.
* In-depth knowledge of the IT industry, broad experience with distributed applications and Internet technologies.
* Skilled in structured application design demonstrated by the ability to clearly translate business requirements into a system design.
* Working knowledge of application/web servers
* Knowledge of system implementation methodologies and experience applying the methodologies on more than one enterprise-wide project.
* Knowledge in SQL Server, Oracle (or any relational db) and database design concepts
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to mentor individuals and interact as a member of a team
* Working experience with web and networking protocols and concepts
* Solid operating system skills and experience (UNIX, NT)
* Ability to troubleshoot
* Advanced level knowledge of computer network infrastructures, technologies, protocols, and configurations.
* Advanced experience with load balancing, cluster, network design.
