Description
The J2EE Web Component Developer is responsible for developing, documenting, packaging and unit/integration testing web components such as JSF components, Backing / Managed Beans, JSP Pages, Javascript functions, Servlets and custom tags, and integrating the web components with middle tier services.

Responsibilities Include:

- Creating detailed design specifications for implementation of the presentation tier web page flows and functionality, including front-end validations
- Developing JSF components, Backing / Managed Beans, JSP Pages, Javascript functions, Servlets and custom tags, utilizing HTML User Interface prototype and middle-tier services interfaces as input
- Writing and executing unit tests, debugging the Java / Javascript code
- Documenting all developed assets
- Packaging the web components for deployment
- Performing integration testing in readiness for hand-off to QA

Experience/Skills
3-5 years in a number of the following:

- 3-5 years of J2EE Web Component Development using IBM WSAD / RAD6
- Experience with the Servlet Technology Model, Web Container Model and Structure & Deployment of Web Applications
- Experience with JSF, JSP, EL(Expression Language), Javascript, using standard tags and creating custom tags
- Experience with Model 2 frameworks such as Struts
- Experience with J2EE patterns such as Model-View-Controller, Front Controller, Service Locator, Business Delegate and Transfer Object
- Experience with JUnit and other unit testing frameworks for unit testing web component
- Good understanding of Web Application Security
- Knowledge of UML, especially use case diagrams, class diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams, package diagrams, component diagrams and sequence diagrams
- Experience with J2EE Portlet and AJAX is a plus
