Description

Senior J2EE administrator responsible for installation, configuration and support of J2EE applications, with BEA WebLogic, WebMethods, and JBoss Application Server. This position supports development to production life cycle environments including development, QA, staging and production. This is position is part of the Operations organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordination of all system management activities including software upgrades, capacity planning, and performance monitoring and tuning

Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades and new products, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments

Design and implementation of future WebLogic domain, JBOSS Cluster, and/or WebMethods topologies

Mentor and train co-workers

After-hours environment and application support will be required

This is a "hands on" technical position and will require the individual to handle multiple projects in a fast paced software and technical lifecycle

Interact with software, network, database, and Unix administrators to seamlessly implement solutions to complex technical issues

Adhere to all existing client's security and software standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Five years administration experience focusing on J2EE technologies

Strong verbal and written communications skills a must!

Experience in a carrier-class ISP environment

Must demonstrate strong team building skills

Strong Scripting skills (shell Scripting or WebLogic WLST or weblogic.Admin) 5 years

Strong knowledge of J2EE technology such as JMS, JDBC, JNDI is required 5 year

Must be able to configure and support clusters (WebLogic, JBOSS, or WebMethods).

Must be able to configure connection pools to communicate with Oracle RAC clusters.

Must be able to translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications
