Description
Responsible for the creation and delivery of Java application code for multiple intranet/internet data systems for various business processes. The primary focus of this effort is the support and maintenance of existing applications. Perform detailed analysis and design for the system. Create/edit Java code to meet changing or new user requirements. Ensure that application meets user requirements and standards. Create and maintain technical system documentation. Maintain code versions in CVS. Participate in design and code reviews. Communicate issues and progress to project manager.

Rate of pay determined by experience.

Experience/Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is a must. Ability to work independently. 4 years of Java development experience. Knowledge of database systems (Oracle preferred) and data query procedures. Knowledge or experience in environmental work preferred. Education: B.S Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is required. Equivalent work experience can be substituted.
