Description
Robert Half Technology is seeking several resources for an exciting project with a leading healthcare company. Become a part of the most prestigious JAVA shop in the Twin Cities. This position will be responsible for development efforts supporting Consumer Driven Health Plan claims applications. Development is performed using some of the latest technologies (Java 5 and J2EE 1.4) and industry concepts (IoC / AOP via Spring Framework). This position will be responsible for designing, coding, debugging, documenting and supporting efficient and effective computer applications and tools consistent with established specifications and business requirements. You will act as key contributor in designing, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation of complex business initiatives. May contribute to the establishment of systems development protocols and / or selection of systems management approaches involving major company investments. Develop Java code based upon the functional designs and conforming to software coding practices using Java 5, J2EE 1.4, and Spring Framework technologies to be deployed on JBoss 4 or Weblogic 9 in development and WebSphere 6 for QA and Production. Key contributor in requirements definition of most complex business initiatives. Experience/Skills
2+ years of Application Development experience desired Solid skills in Java, J2EE, JDBC and JSP or HTML required Awareness with Spring Framework, JMS, and XML (JAXP or JAXB) is a plus Experience with Java 5 (JDK 1.5) and J2EE 1.4 is a plus Extensive experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope An understanding of and experience with full software development lifecycle including functional & technical specification, development (including object and component based design), documentation, QA processes, source control, maintenance and deployment is essential. Effective communication skills required
