General Qualifications
Degree Preference: Computer Science or related college degree preferred.

Assignment
This position will be a member of a team of enterprise application architects with expertise in object oriented analysis and design on the Websphere platform. The team's mission is to help application development teams efficiently build high quality distributed systems using J2EE based tools to meet business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities
1) Establish and support enterprise application development best practices, standards, and guidelines for Java and object oriented development.
2) Provide technical leadership to application development teams utilizing Eclipse based development tools and an object oriented development approach. This includes analysis, design, and development consulting, and performing design and code reviews.
3) Design and develop (or supervise the development of) enterprise reusable assets.
4) Provide expert advice and assistance in terms of technical troubleshooting and resolving significant issues to root cause. If necessary take the lead role in resolving an issue.
5) Evaluate current and future technologies for potential inclusion in the WebSphere application development portfolio.

1) Architect-Application - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.
Excellent n-tier architecture development skills using Java technologies; experience providing application architecture consulting for enterprise applications; experience with iterative development methodology using UML.
2) Developer-Java - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.
Expert level technical skills with Java and Java development technologies (J2EE, JNDI, Servlets, JMS, EJB, ANT, automated testing tools).
3) Architect-Technical - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.
Demonstrated ability and experience in providing technical leadership to an application development staff in the following areas: Object Oriented (OO) analysis, design and development; Design Patterns; Eclipse based IDEs; Programming Language - Java.
4) Architect-Technical - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.
Ability and experience in providing application architecture consulting for enterprise applications.

Preferred Technical Skills
1) Unified Process - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
2) Service Oriented Architecture - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
Familiarity with general principles of SOA.
3) SAP NetWeaver - Intermediate with 1 year(s) experience.
Familiarity with XI, J2EE, NetWeaver Developer infrastructure and Webdynpro in the SAP NetWeaver stack.
