3 Month Contract-to-Hire position - Pella, Iowa Title: Java Developer Responsibilities and Qualifications: - 3-4 years of experience in JAVA development. - A bachelor's degree in a computer related field is required. - Strong communication skills, ability to analyze and interpret business designs and ability to work in a collaborative team environment. - Java skills including: Struts experience, XML, JSP, Swing - some experience in at least one. - WSAD & ClearCase experience highly preferred. - Experience in developing and testing is required. - Ability to create and/or interpret UML design docs is preferred. - WebSphere experience and/or J2EE experience would be nice to have. - Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred. - Proficiency with database application; knowledge of mainframe, distributed, and/or web programming languages. - Must have basic planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical, time management, decision-making, and communication skills. - Must be able to maintain accuracy and confidentiality. - Basic leadership skills and project management skills preferred. - Some travel may be required, including overnight stays.
