We have an immediate need for a Java Developer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
CDI has an immediate opening with our one of our corporate clients, for a Java Developer/lead for mobile applications using J2EE, XML, and WebLogic. This is a long term assignment, 6 to 18 months, on CDIs W-2.

Position Description:
Experience Level:
4 year degree plus 10 or more years experience.

Description:
Corporate client seeks hands on developer/lead for mobile applications using Java technologies. Responsibilities include clarifying requirements, designing, implementing, and supporting the product.

Responsibilities:
-Implement requirements in a maintainable, secure manner that is also easy to monitor and troubleshoot in production.
-Provide direction and technical guidance to other developers.
-Provide input, direction and cost estimates for new development efforts.
-Analyze operational results and provide recommendation for further improvement.
-Assures all corporate compliance/governance requirements are met (quality, security, change, etc.).
-Position will require occasional after hour and weekend work.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
-10+ years of related work experience.
-7+ years developing intranet-based Web applications J2EE and XML.
-2+ years developing on Linux.
-2+ years designing and implementing Web Services.
-2+ years in team lead role.
-1+ years doing Agile Software development.
-Experience designing and developing enterprise wide, highly-available services.
-Strong communication skills.
-Highly motivated and driven with a sense of ownership.
-Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast paced environment.
-Ability to work after hours and weekend work occasionally.

Preferred Skills:
-WebLogic 9 or 10, JAX-RPC & JAX-WS, JUnit
-Subversion, CruiseControl, Ant, Maven
-VMware, Red Hat Enterprise Linux
