As Software Development Engineer, you will write and maintain code for our core Internet platform. The position reports to our Core Software Development Manager. You should be a games enthusiast and be well-versed in Java and have an understanding of MySQL databases. This is a startup environment, where flexibility, a can-do attitude, and team-oriented mentality are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop and code major gaming platform components
Work closely with game design, producers, test and operations
Participate in QA of completed components and overall platform
Perform code and architecture reviews
. Meet ship dates and pass
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or equivalent required, MS in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
8+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience, and a record of individual technical achievement programming platform components including C, Java, My SQL, Apache, and Linux
4+ years experience developing Java Enterprise Applications supporting paying customers
Experienced with the following technologies EJB, JDBC, JMS, SOAP, and Spring, Hibernate
Experienced using enhanced JDK1.5+ functionality
Knowledge of relational schema and data layer interfaces using MySQL or similar databases
Platform component development with APIs using SOA, SOAP or RESTful models with associated analytics
Advanced computer software skills; quick learner who is very team oriented and can work in a fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven success working in a creative, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
