We are currently seeking an individual to perform the following job duties for one of our largest clients in the Banking & Financials industry:
Overall Responsibilities:
Rates & FX is responsible for development and support of front office technology for the global foreign exchange desk. The group develops options trading and risk management systems, e-commerce dealing systems, and a full range of feeds that connect front and back office systems. The group also supports vendor applications for cash trading and order management.

The department is currently engaged in a number of projects to expand its capabilities in the areas of options, e-commerce and cash products. It is also engaged in initiatives to consolidate the trading desks of its investment and private banks.

We seek a developer that will work across the project space in implementing critical components of the Rates & FX architecture.

Functional Responsibilities:
Specific tasks include but are not limited to:
. Design and develop core application components in Java
. Development of web services for GFX applications
. Development of test scripts and test drivers for applications
. Development of control and deployment scripts
. Create and update technical documentation

Required Skills:
.5 +yrs Java/J2EE/EJB
.5+ years Web services/web logic
.Strong object oriented design
.Strong LMS/EMS
.Strong XML/XSLT
.XML Beans
.Some C++
.ASP

Desired Skills:
.Ability to work in team environment
.Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Essential Skills
.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing within IT and with providing support to end users.

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
Experience/Background
5+ years post collegiate work experience

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree.
