xScion Solutions, LLC is a leading IT professional services firm in the Washington, DC area supporting firms with their consulting and permanent hiring needs. We are currently seeking 2 experienced JAVA DEVELOPERS w/ strong understanding of core Java principles.

NOTE: Candidates must be local to the Washington, DC area and have US work authorization - US Citizenship, Green Card or EAD as our client does not provide sponsorship at this time. No exceptions.

JOB OVERVIEW:
New financial exchange seeks an intelligent, articulate, and skilled technologist to join this growing, dynamic, collegial, fun, open-source oriented, and high-performing organization. This hire will join in the ongoing analysis, design, development, and testing of the exchange platform. The small, highly selective software team will provide an excellent place for a developer to strengthen his or her skills and gain experience working on a true enterprise trading platform. The development team is currently working on the launch product, but numerous additional features and new products will follow. While the right candidate will understand the practical demands of the organization, we also seek a candidate who thrives on the pursuit of elegance and beauty in software creation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-4 years professional development experience utilizing Java-based technologies
- BS or higher degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math)
- Broad and deep understanding of the core Java language
- Must have an entrepreneurial spirit!

PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Sun Java Developer (or comparable) Certification
- Experience with JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic
- Experience with persistence frameworks (e.g. EJB3, JPA, Hibernate)
- Experience writing complex SQL queries

Compensation will be determined based on experience. The over all package will consist of a competitive base salary and bonus package combined with full benefits etc.df-tc
