Description
Robert Half Technology is currently working with an Energy client located in Northwest Houston. We are searching for a Programmer Analyst with strong Java, XML, and Oracle skills that has worked in a trade floor environment. This position will develop market data from conceptual design to coding and implementation and will provide reliable data feeds to Traders and other IT professionals. Other responsibilities will include: performing fundamental systems analysis and design; dealing with large data sets which require extracting data from various sources and formats, and delivering data as requested.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Qualified Candidates will have the following: - Working experience with Oracle using SQL queries - Basic knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT - Experience using Java, C#, or C + + - Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL programming basic - Exposure to data services / web services concepts - Experience with Matlab applications development - Ability to manipulate and report information dealing with large data sets - Ability to manage, resolve and report on multiple projects with shifting priorities - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interact with internal/external clients across all levels of the organizationIdeal Background:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline - 5 + years experience working in a developmental role with a front office IT development group - In-depth understanding of fundamental data processing concepts and practicesQualified candidates should contact Brandon Riley at brandon.riley@rht.com immediately if interested.
