Description
Java / J2EE Developer Sr. Software Engineer KForce Colorado Springs Kforce is looking for experienced Java/J2EE Software Engineer for a long term project located in Colorado Springs. Consultant will be working on an enterprise software application adding new functionality and porting the existing logic from C++ to the Java/J2EE platform. The Software Engineer will focus on developing Java, J2EE, Servlets, EJB's, WebLogic Application Server middle tiers. Familiarity with C++ is helpful for understanding current code in the existing system and porting it over to Java, J2EE, WebLogic. Qualified candidate must be able to design and document how a system should work for developers and for others to understand the system. Must have the ability to understand an existing application and make modifications within the exiting framework.

Requirements:

- 3-5 Years Enterprise Java Development including (EJBs, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, etc.)

- Experience with J2EE Java Application Servers WebLogic or WebSphere

- Sun Certified Java Programmer is a plus.

- Familiarity with C++.

- Previous dev experience with middle tier, GUI, and Server side Java programming.

- Experience with the JDBC/SQL database access layer.

- Experience with XML Web Services and CORBA a major plus.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree is a plus.
