Description
SUMMARY:
Designs, develops, debugs and maintains moderately complex software processes for . Serves as resource and mentor for other team members. Leads module design level efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs and develops complex programming code for various software products.
Responsible for moderately complex application and system-level work. Developers will be responsible for multiple applications and work with the entire system during all phases of the development lifecycle.
Serves as a resource and mentor for lower level engineers.
Works with program management staff to design features and author specifications and business requirements.
Works with quality assurance staff to fix any bugs that arise in code and has direct technical input into the creation of test cases.
Solves a wide range of difficult and ill-defined technical problems.
Works with IT staff to make sure they have accurate configuration information needed to deploy software processes.
Creates development specifications and documents all processes and procedures.
Leads design discussions.
Works with other developers and development managers to design and implement software systems that are large and complex in nature.
Act as lead on projects/features of a moderately complex nature.
Maintains ownership of architecture for his/her assigned projects and also the architecture of lower-level team members where acting as the lead.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience developing software with advanced knowledge in four or more of the following languages:
HTML
Server side scripting (ASP, JSP, CGI, etc.)
JAVA
Delphi
SQL
Middle-tier technologies (J2EE, .NET, LAMP, etc.)
Advanced development experience on the MS Windows platform
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Solid understanding of key technologies for a product line.
Experience with source control systems (CVS preferred) required.
Ability to effectively participate in technical or architectural discussions.
Ability to provide solutions to difficult problems.
Ability to disseminate technical information in a manner that is well understood by a wide variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical.
