Description
Senior Java Web Engineer

As our Senior Java Web Engineer for us, you'll provide analysis, technical documentation, coding, installation and ongoing support for our online e-commerce and branded marketing web systems. You'll collaborate with our business and technical teams to define business problems in detail and establish functional, data and technical activities, including conceptual system design, technical design and documenting detailed specifications. You'll also work with a team of motivated Engineers to plan new releases, explain requirements and resolve problems. In addition, you'll diagnose issues and ensure technical solutions meet performance and quality requirements in production.
Requirements for the position include:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field
5 years experience programming and working in the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
2 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree
3 years web related Java programming experience, including J2EE design and JSP
3 years experience working with Web Application Servers
Proficiency with Object Oriented design principles and patterns
Proficiency with Unix and SQL
Experience developing in a 3-tier environment
Experience with Oracle database preferred
Experience developing e-commerce sites desirable
