Pointe Technology Group, Inc. is seeking a Java Developer for a full time position in Baltimore, MD. The position specifics are below, if you are interested please forward a Word resume along with salary requirements.



Requirement/Job Description:

We are currently seeking one (1) skilled Java programmer with proven experience in Java development to assist in technical activities supporting the Office of Applications and Supplemental Security Income Systems (OASSIS) for the implementation of the eCAT application. In this role, the qualified candidate will perform Java development activities as assigned by the team lead.

Minimum education requirements:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 1 - 5 years of professional experience; or 1 -2 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or undergraduate degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other related field from an accredited university.

Skills/Experience:

The position requires in-depth knowledge and/or understanding of the following:

Required skills

Strong Java programming experience.
Strong Knowledge of Struts
Some Knowledge of Hibernate
Some Knowledge of SQL
Proven ability to develop software through all phases of the SDLC
Able to interpret program specifications
Ability to work in a team environment and interact effectively
Problem solving skills


Desired skills
STRUTS
Hibernate
An understanding of Relational Database Management Systems, such as DB2 or Oracle.
Excellent/proven verbal and written communication skills; must be flexible/adaptable, team oriented, and self-starting.

The successful candidate will provide Java development and analysis in support of applications with the Social Security Administration (SSA) under the direction of Lockheed Martin project management.
