Developer III

Finance and fixed income knowledge preferred

Developer III performs high complexity (ie system level applications) analysis, design, development and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents. The candidate also resolves defects encountered during various testing cycles.

The Developer will be responsible for:
- Implementing enhancements requested by the Business Users to streamline existing application process of PRiMA (a portfolio risk management system).
- Develop business application using Java/J2EE in both standalone and server environment
- Use Swing to develop UI components
- Produce high quality software, well designed, and implemented
- Follow the software development lifecycle adhering to appropriate documentation procedures.
- Ensure that the product developed is adequately tested; support the testing group as necessary during the QA phase of development.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field, Masters degree preferred
- 7 years of experience developing code using Java/J2EE, including full project life cycle.
- 2 years of experience on Swing UI development
- 3 years of experience on browser based system development
- 3 years of development experience under Unix/Linux
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently, to work against aggressive deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, and to adapt to changing business requirements
- Finance and fixed income knowledge preferred
