Description
Adecco Engineering & Technical is currently recruiting for a Java Development Engineer to join the staff of one of our esteemed clients in Denver, Colorado. This is a full time/permanent position, excellent pay, exciting projects, plenty of room for advancement, full benefits. The Java Development Engineer position will design, develop, test, and deploy applications using Java technologies. Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs. Interact with other team members to contribute to and review functional specifications and test cases. Contribute to advancing the team's design methodology and quality programming practices.

The incumbent should have extensive experience with detailed design, performing and monitoring coding development, report generation, unit testing and system and integration testing of applications. Experience in both database-driven and Web based applications in Java.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelors degree in computer science or information systems. Masters degree preferred.
-9 years of experience of software development.
-5+ years of experience in Java software development environments.
-8+ years of experience in Java and MS databases on Windows platforms.
-Java/JSp and HTML development experience
-J2EE UI framework
-5+ years of experience with SQL/PLSQL
-Experience with JavaScript, XML, DHTML, XSL, IIS, and SQL
-Knowledge of Oracle Application Server 9i & 10g
-Knowledge of Linux and/or Unix operating systems.
-Strong understanding of technologies and product suites commonly used in technology solutions.
-Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
-High initiative and self-motivated
-Must be able to communicate problems and solutions effectively at all levels within the organization.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
-Strong attention to detail.
-Good knowledge of relational databases and mySQL and MS SQL Server.
-Ability to mentor and provide technical direction on application architecture.
-Experience with SDLC methodologies.
-Proven ability to execute complex, high-impact Web services projects.
-Self motivated with little direct supervision, assuring the quality of work and service for the tasks given is of the highest calibre and meeting or exceeding requirements and expectations.
-Ability to communicate the essential issues of a software defect to identify the root of the issue.
-Results, action-oriented, with a 'whatever it takes' attitude.
-Experience with gathering and documenting technical and functional user requirements and specifications.
-Proven experience working in or with complex technology environments.
-Ability to quickly structure, assimilate and analyze data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
