Description
The individual will develop solutions utilizing XML, Java, and our graphical service creation environment (SCE). These applications form the core call- and media-processing component of our application portfolio. You should have previous experience building Java applications that integrate with relational database systems. Experience building communications applications, while desirable, is not required. We're looking for a software developer who likes new challenges and is willing and eager to learn new technologies within the voice and data communications industry.

Experience/Skills
Requirements:

- 5+ Years of Java development and OO design
- Experience designing and reviewing specifications based on product requirements
- Ability to independently develop applications based on design requirements
- Be proficient in writing application-level SQL
- Understand and be proficient with Java-based relational database technologies; preferably Hibernate.
- Strong communications skills and enjoy an environment that demands a fast learner.
- Ability to work within a team environment and share knowledge freely.

Responsibilities:

- Core call processing within our SCE (Service Creation Environment) and application framework.
- Relational Database work using JDBC, Hibernate and other ORM technologies.
- API development through the use of SOAP (Web Services) and other remote technologies.
- Java web application development using JSP, Javascript and Tomcat.
- Software design work and generation of documentation to support a given design.
