Description
eHarmony.com is looking for a highly motivated and self-directed Java Engineer who can develop sophisticated, robust, high performance, and scalable Java applications using proven and effective technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop applications for a high volume consumer website for a high-profile, nationally recognized, very profitable, pre-IPO internet company
Work with cutting edge technologies including Flash, J2EE, Hibernate, Weblogic, video, and oracle
Work with Quality Assurance to test functional product features
Work closely with product management in defining new product features and specifications
Work with web operations on deployment of new releases and application management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment
Strong technical and design skills
Excellent Java skills (J2EE 1.4, and J2SE 1.5+)
Experienced at leading development life cycle process and best practices, hiring and mentoring in a technical organization
Ability to learn new technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical
Ability to participate in a cross-functional team environment
8+ years of industry experience in software development
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Excellent understanding of OOD and OOP
Hands on experience with ORM tools such as Hibernate or TopLink
Experience developing high volume consumer websitesdf-tc
