Hi one of our clients located in Cambridge, MA is looking for 10 Java Developers. They are looking for Senior and Junior Java developers. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for implementing Java algorithms in support of a large-scale, high-availability search engine focused on the mobile platform. The right candidate has a strong background in both server-side Java and relational databases and has developed and deployed highly available applications using Tomcat and Apache. Projects will include crawling, data feed handling, relevancy algorithms, analytics, and collaborative filtering.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities:



Design & develop Java server-side code to enhance the search engine and supporting infrastructure

Build content management tools and web user interfaces to allow editorial control of data

Work closely with product management to refine next-generation product definition

Write supporting design and delivery documentation

Required Skills and Experience:

Position requires a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a Four-Year College or University; or equivalent combination of both education and experience
Strong Java programmer with 5-7 years of professional experience and solid object- and pattern-oriented design skills
Java server-side development essential, with strong understanding of memory & thread management
Strong experience with JSP and Java Servlets development
Relational database skills (MySQL preferred)
Experience delivering solutions targeted to mobile devices preferred (WAP/WML/XHTML, small device nuances)
Experience with large-scale on-demand applications in a highly available, distributed environment is desirable
Experience with federated search infrastructure a plus
Demonstrated facility with scripting language such as perl, python, or PHP for data access and manipulation
Linux fundamentals

Strong business acumen and professionalism, with solid communication skills both verbal and written
