Job Description:

Java Technology Platform professionals develop applications using Java technology, a bundle of related technologies from Sun Microsystems that allow for developing and running operating system-independent programs written in Java programming language.

A Senior Software Engineer contributes to the development, delivery and maintenance of technology-based business solutions. He/she is skilled in designing, coding, testing, and implementing configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements. He/she may have some oversight responsibility for the technology solution and may assist in the development of the team.

Key responsibilities may include:

Responsibility for full life cycle development and support of solutions. Position will be focused on java coding, unit and integration testing and may include some design activities. Identifying design and coding issues and recommend alternatives and solutions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

- 2+ years Java programming and development experience
- Experience with full development life-cycle
- Web sphere 5

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of UNIX and Windows platforms
- Knowledge of Verity Search engine and Python scripting
- Web sphere 6
- RAD 6.0
