Description
Project Description: This temporary position requires a professional software developer with extensive Java programming experience in an industrial software development setting. Working from high level functional specifications provided by the project technical leads, this person will be tasked to design, develop, document and test code to automate the configuration and management of switches, routers, firewalls, and console servers. He/she will develop and document a suite of functional, performance, security and stress tests for this code and automate the execution of the QA tests and reporting of results. Further, this individual may be tasked to develop tools to automate the configuration of compute servers and instantiation of infrastructure services (dhcp, dns, NFS, tftp, etc.).Required Skills/Experience:- Industrial strength Java programming experience, at least 2 years of fulltime work experience or equivalent (code samples will be requested prior to interviewing).- Good conceptual and practical knowledge of networking, especially VLAN programming and network security mechanisms (ACL's, firewall rules, etc.).- Familiarity and facility with SNMP.- Strong perl skills; technical facility with expect or expect-like scripting.- Strong facility with open source OS's, libraries, tools and tool development environments, notably Linux and CVS (or equivalent).- Basic facility with HTML, Web-based Documentation.Required Skills: Java Programmer and Networking knowledge.This 3+ month position, with possibility of extension, starts ASAP.Please E-MAIL your resume (attachment to email) with rate and availability to Ram: recruiter2@alphaconsulting.com
