SUMMARY:
The candidate will be a J2EE developer working on a global Front End Web portal (Websphere). The role involves the development, design, support and continued integration of products throughout its life cycle. The position will involve working with external vendors and internal clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The design, development and implementation of a 3-tiered enterprise application within the J2EE framework and POJO stack
• Unit testing of developed solutions
• Assist in development of framework and architectural component
• Mentoring the development team on SDLC
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
• Debug and troubleshoot
• Ability to work with Business Analysts and Users to turn requirements into programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 10 years total experience
• 7 years of extensive hands-on development experience in J2EE on WebSphere, Spring, Struts and Hibernate using RAD or Eclipse
• 5 years of extensive Java performance tuning and refactoring
• 5 years of MVC pattern (Struct/JSF)
• 3 years of Web service development (SOAP or RESTfull)
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of J2EE architecture and design patterns
• Prior work experience in the financial industry
• Good oral and written communication skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with WebSphere Portal server, WebSphere WCM JSR-168 Porlets,
• Experience with Alfresco
• Experience working with SQL Server 2005
• Experience in performance tuning in WebSphere
• Business Objects, Cognos or Hyperion experience

EDUCATION:
BS in Computer Science or in a relevant field
