Requirements of the Java Software Architect:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent industry experience 3+ years of product architecture experience 8+ years of product development experience Expertise in implementation and design Extensive knowledge and experience with foundational framework/infrastructure areas like OOAD, system layering, patterns, threads, JVM, JDBC, etc.Must be able to comfortably apply and recognize design patterns in determining algorithms, design constructs and in making architectural decisionsMust have a strong background in Java development including relevant work experience developing solutions using Java EE 5
