Description

This position of Senior Software Developer will work in conjunction with existing developers in the design, development, and implementation of front-end enhancements to APQC?s website and Knowledge Base applications. APQC has developed the Knowledge Base using 1) ATG for portal development, 2) Verity for a search engine and 3) Interwoven as its internal content management system. This position is responsible for using these existing technologies to develop major enhancements to the site based on collaboratively-designed functionality. We seek proven knowledge and experience using Java and good working knowledge of ATG.

Responsibilities:

1. Advise on Knowledge Base and general website updates.
2. Design enhancements in conjunction with user input.
3. Provide detailed development/troubleshooting.
4. Provide support for newly-developed website
website enhancements
5. Provide website technical monitoring and reporting.
6. Support site upgrades to ATG including performance
analysis, tuning, and optimization; monitoring;
software installation and configuration & patch
recommendations

Qualifications:

APQC is seeking a high energy software professional who can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and provide meaningful solutions to Java based/ATG IS problems and challenges. Specific skills leading to success in this position include:

-Advanced web application design using java-based application servers (Most important job requirement).
-Hands-on experience in developing applications using ATG
-Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX
-Basic familiarity with Verity and Interwoven, is preferred
-Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, is a plus
-Experience designing and delivering web services
-Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professional standards and quality. Ability to collaborate effectively on projects and determine customer requirements.
-Bachelor?s degree in technical specialty
