Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Experience
5 years IT experience. Working (not classroom) knowledge in application architecture design and documentation, database objects (database design, creating stored procedures, triggers). Working (not classroom) Java application coding experience in all tiers (presentation, business and persistence). Manufacturing knowledge is a plus, but not required. Working knowledge in an enterprise environment. Ability to multi-task, provide progress updates as required, work independently with little or no supervision, estimate work effort and meet the scheduled timeline. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Confidence to seek out expertise in other departments, when needed. Good communication skills and ability to express thoughts, concerns and ideas clearly.

Assignment Details
Analyze current application to determine best approach to streamline and refine architecture. Provide architecture solutions for new development activities. Prepare architecture and application documentation, such as, architecture diagrams, class diagrams, object models, technical use case, etc. Translate business requirements into technical requirements. Develop application enhancements using Java and develop Sybase database objects. Participate in code reviews, unit and system testing. Coordinate and execute server/environment maintenance activities with other IT support groups.
