Description
Our Client has an immediate need for a Java WebFOCUS Developer to perform the following role:

- Design, develop, test, implement and support application enhancements;

- Provide support and maintenance of current application code;

- Strong UI/Presentation Web design and development skills;

- Maintain good source control and documentation of application code;

- Candidate should have a proven track record of being able to plan, prioritize, estimate, and deliver projects on time;

- Constant evaluation of efficiency and technology enhancement opportunities;

- Provide technical assistance to internal business users on a variety of issues and direct support on Web interface issues;

- Periodic on call pager rotation;

- Excellent communication skills;

- Other duties as may be required.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Development Experience: 3-5 years using the technologies noted below

- Basic Web Experience: HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, I18N, XML, XSLT

- IDEs: Eclipse IDE, Rational Software Architect

- Java: JSP, Servlets, JSTL, EJB, JDBC, SOAP(Axis/CXF)

- Framework: Struts

- Tools: Ant, Eclipse, CVS or similar tool, Rational Software Architect

- Servers: Experience with either JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic and/or WAS

- DB: Experience using stored procedures and writing ad-hoc queries

- WebFOCUS 7.6.x: 2 years experience in developing WebFOCUS reporting applications with Developer Studio and experience in coding complex launch pages using AJAX and JavaScript validation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

- BIRT

- Framework: RCP

- DB: Oracle, Sybase

- WebFOCUS: Experience with MRE, Report Caster, Dashboard
