Local Candidates Prefered.Apply with word resumeRequired Skills: The successful candidate will work as part of a team comprising business analysts, domain experts, and other programmers, to use OOAD techniques to develop multi-tier applications to support the tracking and analysis of large volumes of genomic data. The candidate will be required to develop software in Java (specifically Servlets) as the main language, with C#.NET as a plus as a second language. All development will be using Test First Development methodologies. Comments: 6 years of full time experience as a programmer in a scientific, technical, or business environment; knowledge and past experience in software development using Java, C# and Oracle and past experience at developing client-server or multi-tier applications. Familiarity with Object-Oriented and Test First Development methodologies a must with OO modeling using UML useful. A demonstrated ability to learn and acquire new technologies as needed, as well as a willingness to understand the key concepts within the problem domain, is necessary. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are highly desired.
