Description
This position is located in Northfield, IL. This position offers the candidate the opportunity to guide the Sourcing Management team, ensuring that contracted deliverables are met by the Supplier.

The Journey / Governance Manager (JGM) is accountable for assuring that the Sourcing Management team is appropriately configured, staffed, and actively involved in the appropriate tasks that will maximize the client s realization of value from the relationship with the supplier through the contract. Throughout the term of the relationship with the Supplier, the JGM works with other members of the Sourcing Management Team to ensure that the team is focused on: delivering the sourcing objectives of the contract, meeting current business needs, supporting and influencing the global business strategy, effectively and efficiently applying and leveraging client and supplier resources to enhance client value. Through management of and interaction with the Sourcing Management Team and the Supplier, the candidate must ensure that contracted milestones are on target. If not on target, will escalate, communicate and gain agreement on adjustments to contracted milestones.
The candidate needs to have a broad and in-depth understanding of contract s goals, objectives, and measures of success, and reports the status against the contracted objectives and milestones. The candidate will participate in the development of strategic initiatives with business stakeholders and the service provider. Candidate will work closely with the company's functions to understand current-state knowledge of all transition, transformation and service activities and offerings of the sourcing engagement.

The candidate must be able to develop, enhance and expand internal and external relationships that are well regarded and be able to work with business stakeholders at the highest levels to design meaningful work processes with the new service provider and to assure that the business stakeholders accept and endorse the new processes. The candidate must have experience leading global ITSM processes and best practices. The job requires a team player that can self-start in difficult service environments and can successfully lead change throughout the organization.


Additional Job Information:
BBA/BS required. MBA preferred.


Minimum 10 years of experience in managing IT Services and Application Deployment required. ITIL certification required. Experience in Outsourcing Management either as a Customer or Supplier required. Ability to cultivate and manage relationships with peers as well as hardware, software and services vendors required. Ability to create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans to achieve goals required. Proven interpersonal skills both verbal and written required. Ability to skillfully negotiate with both internal/external groups, gaining concessions without damaging relationships required. Ability to bring enthusiasm that motivates the team required.
