Jr. Desktop Analyst
What it is:

Provide computer-related support for the agency, carrying out second level customer support and basic computer support operations. Investigate, gather information, and resolve issues or escalate as appropriate to ensure the timely resolution of all customers' problems and queries.


Candidate must initially have a foundation of software support technical ability and show an aptitude towards this type of work as you will be expected to learn and carryout technical hardware and software application support, learn many new technologies, and be expected to quickly contribute to the enhancement of the department's problem resolution knowledge base. Preference will be given to candidates with a completed two or four year college degree (Computer Science or related course of study) and any relevant hands on software applications support experience that includes. Must be able to work additional hours, some nights and weekends as necessary.



What you do:

1. Support of all second level IT related questions
2. Assist with set up of new hire stations and configurations
3. Assist all Desktop Analysts with user requirements as necessary
4. Other responsibilities as necessary

What you need:

1. Working knowledge of Basic PC hardware
2. Working knowledge of Windows XP
3. Experience with Lotus Notes a plus
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills required
5. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field a plus
