Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Junior Developer. The Consultant will conduct efforts to understand a client's existing technology and/or processes, define their business requirements, and implement new systems or business process reengineering to address the client's needs. The Consultant will be an integral part of the consulting delivery teams and will be required to broaden their skill set as projects demand. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has worked in the information technology field for 2 years and has experience in more than one area of technology, Salesforce, Microsoft .NET 3.5, and/or open source Web technologies such as Joomla.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering operational systems which could include:
    Implementing business applications (ie accounting, fundraising, registration etc.)
    Modeling, installing and programming database and information management solutions
    Designing, developing and implementing custom built Web based applications
    Implementing organizational and personal productivity applications
    Integrating new systems with existing technology
    Designing, developing and implementing content management system Websites
    Administering/reviewing client technology assessments and surveys
    Defining client requirements and business processes
    Developing/reviewing test, verification and validation plans
    Assisting in architecture development
    Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
    Preparing and conducting user training
    Assisting with problem identification and resolution for client project matters

Required Skills:

  • Technical development experience in Microsoft .NET 3.5, Salesforce, and/or open source Web technologies such as Joomla
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial spirit with a strong interest in the nonprofit sector
  • Bachelors degree in one of the following preferred majors: Engineering, Computer Science, MIS/CIS, Math/Statistics or equivalent experience
  • 2 years experience in the information technology profession with specific skills in at least 2 of the following areas:
    Implementation of database systems
    Application software configuration and implementation experience
    Implementation of networking technologies
    Business process reengineering including client and user training
    Developing and executing test plans
    Website development and maintenance
    Strong communication and leadership skills
    Ability to articulate benefits of technology to non-technical people
  • Eagerness to contribute on cross-functional teams of client, employee, volunteer and contract staff
  • Willingness to travel locally throughout 14 county region (60 mile radius)
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
