Jr. Java Developer

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Jr. Java Developer. This candidate must be a team player that possesses excellent verbal and written communications skills and has a strong understanding of Web and Database programming technologies. This is a two person team including the IT Manager/developer, so they need to have someone that is strong to back up the team members when they are out. This person doesn't need to be an expert in all the technologies and can favor one, but needs to be strong in all.

Required skills:

• 2-5 years experience developing database driven Web based applications and standalone programs using Coldfusion and Java/J2EE.
• 2-5 years experience with SQL Server using relational design, stored procedures, views, triggers, indexes, and SSIS
• 2-5 years experience developing client side Web interfaces using HTML/DHTML, Javascript, AJAX and CSS.
• Working experience with XML and Web Services
• Able to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong debugging and QA skills
• Understanding of object-oriented design
• Able to think outside the box
• Desire to work and implement cutting-edge ideas and technologies

Desired skills:

• Experience with database administration
• Experience with Web/Application server administration: IIS, Apache, Coldfusion and Tomcat
• Experience with additional Web Scripting/programming languages such as PHP, PERL, .NET, C and C++
